HTML is everything that PDF isn’t (or clumsily tries to be): Semantic, Modular, Connected and Interactive.
Advantages are manifold: Bite-sized information instead of monolithic documents, multiple access paths like faceted search, interconnected topics, data values that know they are, e.g., a diameter or a material number. Above that, you can easily build direct connections to related data or attached processes, like the purchase of spare parts or the logging of checked-off maintenance steps.
Our talk will show useful examples from best practice and will try to outline the steps to develop your output from monolithic PDF documents to digestible interactive HTML information networks.

Takeaways

Switching from PDF to HTML can provide you with a host of new ways to provide usefulness to your customers. The talk wants to motivate you to take digitization as a chance to stand out among your competitors.
