AI, Technical Documentation (TechDoc), and terminology are a dream team to add significant business value to any organization. While AI can make TechDoc and terminology more efficient, the valuable data inside TechDoc and terminology data can provide the guiderails AI applications need in order to reliably work in production.

The carefully crafted, structured, and approved knowledge that TechDoc teams have developed over the years serves as the perfect foundation for AI engines, particularly in applications like smart search and chatbots that rely on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Similarly, accurate terminology data is ideal for linguistic use cases such as Terminology Augmented Generation (TAG) and can be used as a great starting point for a comprehensive knowledge graph.  In this presentation, we present some background and practical use cases for these scenarios.
