AI is changing the way organizations create, manage, and localize technical documentation. This presentation shows how to modernize localization workflows by combining proven practices with AI-driven approaches. Drawing on real customer projects, we demonstrate how companies transition from traditional translation workflows to hybrid or AI-enabled models. Together, we will discuss technical requirements, process changes, and common challenges, such as ensuring linguistic quality, maintaining corporate language standards, and improving collaboration between writers and localization teams. This session focuses on the practical implications of integrating AI into the localization process of technical documentation.

Takeaways

The main question is how to really benefit from AI. Participants will gain a realistic view of what AI can solve today, where human expertise remains essential, and how to plan sustainable adoption.

Prior knowledge

Participants should have a basic understanding of technical communication workflows and localization processes. Familiarity with translation management, terminology usage, and collaboration between writers and localization teams is helpful. While prior exposure to machine translation or AI-assisted tools is beneficial, it is not required.
