Birgit Fuhrmann is an expert in Technical Communication and holds a bachelor's degree in Translation with a specialization in Technical Communication from ZHAW. She then worked in industry, first as a technical editor and finally as head of department for Technical and Market-ing Communications. At ZHAW Applied Linguistics in Winterthur she was the former operational head of the research and work area of Technical Communication and currently, she is lecturer and the lead of lecturer group of Technical Communication. She devotes herself to research and teaching in the field of Technical Communication, applying her diverse experience from practice and science creating benefits for the further development of Technical Communication in the context of digital transformation.
